Dearest Marty...If you can hear me...I want you to know that I will always have the fondest memories of you. You were always so much fun to be around. I loved the fact that I could say anthing to you and you wouldn't be shocked. LOL Instead, you would give me truthful, practical, straight forward advice...no BS. Very rare these days. There'll never be another like you. Thank you for sharing your life with me those years ago. I regret that I didn't keep in touch with you sooner. P.S. I take pleasure in thinking of you every time I enter a Casino or hear the song "Crazy" on the radio...

To Martha,

Each morning when we awake
we know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache
As we try to carry on.

Our hearts still ache with sadness
and many tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.

Our thoughts are always with you,
your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.

There will always be a heartache,
and often a silent tear,
But always a precious memory
Of the days when you were here.

If tears could make a staircase,
And heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you home again.

We hold you close within our hearts,
And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
Until we meet again.

Our family chain is broken now,
And nothing will be the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Love,
Don

My dearest gramface,
Your strength has sustained me. Your courage has moved me. Your humor has cheered me. Your wisdom has inspired me. Your love has meant everything to me. I've learned so much from you. Your way of dealing with life and people has been an inspiration to me and I truly admire your positive outlook on things. You were the most unique grammy and I loved you for that. To all of Martha's family:
After marrying into this great family 32 years ago,I can tell you Martha was my sister-in-law but I always thought of her as a sister. She was always there when anyone needed something. From being a wonderful godmother to my daughter to helping take care of her brother when we needed her most. And all the fun stuff in between.Being a nurse myself I am just so sad that the best medical care available could not help her beat her illness.I do know she is free from pain and another one of my special angels in heaven.I will miss her beyond words and will keep my memories close to my heart every day.May everyone take one great thing from how Martha lived her life and use it everyday knowing you may have made someone smile.I know it will make Martha smile.

Cindy and family,
Although we only knew Marty for a short time we knew that her family meant so much to her. It is unfortunate that her disease took her away so quickly but know that she rests peacefully and confortably with our God. Be assured that she will always watch over you especially her "little pooper" Hope. Celebrate Marty's life and have joy and laughter with all the fun memories.

To all of my cousins and family. Martha was one of the best I have ever known. Shot straight from the hip, and pulled no punches. Always such an honest person. She worked hard, raised her children, and did what was expected of her. She met many obstacles along the way and she handled them because she was motivated, and a take charge person. You should be very proud of the woman that she was. She will be missed by any live that she has touched, and will never be forgotten. I love you Martha, I learned many things from you as a young girl that I have never forgotten.

Love to al of my cousins and Family.

August 18, 2010

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Aunty- I don't want to say goodbye to you, but GOD has other plans...heaven needs an angel and only the best...free from pain, now you can rest. God took you away to ease your pain, yet he left us crying...but now the right thing to do is think about all the great memories we had with you. I'll miss you terribly, but you're my guardian angel now. R.I.P Aunty Martha -- Bryce and I will love you always & forever! xoxo
