well, were do i begin? i have many fond memories of growing up on Sandy Bar Dr.! my brother Mike and i were very young,5 years old. we were very excited that there was a lake!!! we could go fishing, swimming!!! even then,we knew how important it was to my mum, dad, and my brothers and sisters to have a home that was all of ours to grow up in!!! my brother Mike was younger than me,(7 minutes to be exact)but acted much more like the bigger brother! when we arrived at Sandy Bar,Mike and i were lucky to have other kids that where our age to play with. my brother Mike taught me how to fish,he taught me how to swim, and most important ,he taught me how to be humble,to respect, and how to Love with no questions asked!!! He was my best friend!!! thank you everyone!!! see you seen BUDDY!!!

Mike, I will always be on your side till I go with You,Marky, and Dad. I'll always remember you as my baby brother. You are the most generous, loving person . I remember all the little things. You used to get on my ass for every little mistake when we were working together. When I got older i realized I should have been telling you and not you telling me. You taught me. You carried the world on your shoulders. You listened to it all and never voiced an opinion. Your goal was to give Ma and Dad a life. You sacrificed your life for eveyone else. That includes me. I want to say Thank You. Thanks to you and Nancy in my own way. Anyway Mike I love you and will never forget you.I'll see you again someday we will all be together as a family. Say Hello to Marky and Dad. Love Danny"

I can't believe I am writing in your memory book. I wish things had turned out so different but we both know that isn't how life works. There is a saying that its not the person who has passed that suffers but the people who cared that are left behind. I couldn't have said it better.
It just isn't the same without you here. We can't pick up the phone and call you to see if we can come down and visit and whether your making dinner for us or not. We aren't getting phone calls everyday just to say hi and see how we are doing. You aren't making fun of Mike's turquoise shirt asking if it "comes in boy's too". It's not the same.
I gathered some pictures together of you for Matt and little Mike and it truly showed how big of a part of our lives you were. Every birthday - you were there. Every Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, whatever holiday you always were there with us. I could go into every memory we have of you but it would go on forever.
You drove me absolutely crazy sometimes but always treated me with respect and honesty. I'll always remember how I didn't know many people at Marky & Monique's wedding but you were my "date". You made sure I always had a drink and was introduced to everybody and when Matt was too shy to ask me to dance you were my dancing partner. I can't even believe that was over ten years ago.
You were so helpful with Mikey too. In our last conversation you were so eager to tell me how your friends son had Autism and how they had passed the insurance bill so Mikey could get extra services now. You were going to get the number for us to call and then you were trying to set me up on a payment plan for that darn "old growth" forest table you were finishing. You were standing in the pouring rain but you never walked away.
It didn't matter to Matthew what you did or who you were you were his twin brother and his best friend no questions asked. It's not the same for him and it never will be but I hope you know that he thought the world of you and always will. We all do.
I just want you to know that you were admired, loved, respected and will be so missed. I can't even imagine Mike growing up without his Uncle Mike around but please know Mikey will always remember you and I sincerely hope he grows up to have your genuine and thoughtful personality.
Take it easy up there and relax for once in your life. You deserve it my friend.
Love ya Mike

I just wanted to say my brother had a heart of gold like my father. Michael loved kids .My son and daughter loved him so much. When i went to my mothers with my kids Michael would always play and joke around with them .I used to bust Mike all the time but he always won.Michael ,me and my kids will miss you more than any one .My daughter is young now but as she gets older I know she is going to ask about him and I will tell her that he was a great person and used to play with you and Chase all the time. Thanks Michael for always being there for my kids .I will never forget you .You always did the best you can with what you had. Thanks for taking care of Mom and Dad .You stepped up to the plate as they say.Dad i'm sure is telling you that.Me and the family Thank You for helping the people that made us. Thats why i look at you as a true man.Love You and I will see you and thank you again.

Uncle Mike always told me to never give up and to go for what i wanted in life because its my life to live. He always cracked jokes about it but i knew he believed in me and was happy for me when i told him what i was doing with my life. He always had so many questions and ideas for me...I knew he asked and wondered because he cared. I remember the conversations we use to have while he cooked up an amazing meal. He taught me some "secret" recipes as he siad to some of the simpliest meals like mac and cheese but i always thought anything he made was amazing. My father and him didnt get along that well in the past few years but i know that both of them cared about each other vcery much. uncle mike missed him and i knew my dad missed him too. Life is too short to be anything but happy so dont take anything for granted..i have learned that with loosing 3 people who have been a big part of my life in the past 2 years..its been a big impact on our family but hopefully this will help us learn and grow from it and maybe become closer together ... like we use to be..i love you all..love you uncle mike and thank u for always believing in me cause im not going to give up. <3

Dear Michael,
There is no more noble a word or memory that can be said of a son than he devoted his life to the care and well being of his parents, the bond that you shared with them none of us ever know, only Ma knows now. What i do know is that what you have left behind should be a reminder to us all : I was here, I did exist, and I sacrificed my life to the care of my Mother and Father. You will always be in my heart.

Mike, I will miss that handsome face and that beautiful smile . You were the only person that ever called me Deborah. When I heard Deborah i knew it was you. If Danny raised his voice to me you were on him in an instance. I will always have you with me, because my grandson is your namesake. He has that smile just like you that can melt your heart. I will always as long as i am in life watch out for Matt. I am so happy to have seen you when you were going to the concert. You were so happy to be with your brothers. Know matter what happened you always were respectful to me and to everyone else. I know you are safe. You are with your father, and Marky and you are not alone. You always took the best care of your mom and dad. If there was time left over then you would do something for yourself. I will never say goodby Mike, you will always be in my heart.

Mike, you were my 1st love. We have known each other since junior high, and dated in high school. I remember getting my license on your birthday, and getting a $250 parking ticket, in front of CVS, mere hours after getting it. I remember you coming to stay the week @ Hampton with me and the family (after I got bribed to get a horrible haircut), you were so great about telling me it looked good, even though I looked like the Legend of Billie Jean. You were so quiet around my loud family, but you fit right in, and they all loved you. My grandparents especially. I truly hope they greeted you with open arms, where ever you are now. I know it's with them. We had the prom, parties behind south plaza and the lake, long phone conversations, and the best of times. My car accident where somehow, you showed up at the right time, when I was coming to. I swear you were always an angel, and now you really are. I will cherish forever the times I had with you, and know you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, sweet angel.

Uncle Mike,
I remember with us being so close in age we grew up together. You uncle Matt and Scott were always protectors to me and my younger brother Jeremy. You never let anyone hurt us. We knew we could always go to you no matter what and you would be there. I remember Christmas Eve , going to Whalam Park, Halloween and watching movies at grandpa and grandma's .
You were always so good to my son Anthony when we would go to the house and visit. I am going to make sure my son knows who his uncle Mike was. You will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
Love You,

Michael, You were only 8 yrs old when I became part of the King Family. I used to think you and Matthew were the cutest and funniest kids.
I loved going to Sandy Bar on Christmas Eve. It was such a great family time.
Over the years I saw you grow into a wonderful young man and father. You and Trinity had a very close bond and you were so good to her and spent alot of time with her. Trinity was always your brother Paul's favorite and I know he will watch over her.
You will be missed by all of us but especially by your Mom. She told me the other day that you took care of her and wondered who would now, she said your father must have wanted you with him.
Please watch over everyone and help ease the pain that is going on right now.
It is never goodbye...it's see you later.
Love Always,
Your Sister-in-law

I was so sad to hear of Mike's passing. I grew up with him on Bridle Path when we were teenagers. I have so many memories of teenage innocence. There was a big group of us that spent so many endless summer days together.. we would swing on the rope swing over Lake Quinsig, play baseball under the lights at Lake Park and when summer ended and winter came we would all have the best snow ball fights ever ! I have so many wonderful memories of all the King boys. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
