Nelson Boucher Obituary

Nelson J. "Bud" Boucher, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 22nd in his home with his loving wife by his side.

Bud is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Lucille (LeFrancois) Boucher; his four children, John N. Boucher of Worcester, Jeffrey P. Boucher of South Grafton, Pamela Deyette of Grafton and Susan Mathieu of Millbury; several grand and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Katherine Wilkinson and Margaret Dunn predeceased him. He was born in Littleton, son of William J. and Millie (Coyer) Boucher. He grew up in Littleton, lived many years in Grafton before moving to Worcester 33 years ago.

Bud worked more than 35 years as a Civil Engineer for various construction companies including Granger Contracting Company Inc. before retiring.

He liked to garden, play cribbage weekly with his son John and read.

Bud donated his body to the anatomical gifts program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 29th at 1 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A period of calling hours will be held from 12 noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Overlook VNA Hospice, 88 Masonic Home Rd., Charlton, MA 01507. A special thanks to his sister-in-law, Janet Bacon for her endless care and compassion.
