Norman Wilbur Obituary

Norman S. Wilbur, 73, of Richardson Corner Road, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, in his home after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joanne M. (Zollo) Wilbur of Charlton; two sons, Brian F. Wilbur and his wife Jeanne of Charlton, and Todd S. Wilbur and his wife Elise of Brookfield; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Erin, Patrick, Daniel, Mia, and Grace; and several nephews nieces, great nephews and nieces, and cousins. He graduated from Charlton High School in 1954 and was a member of the Army National Guard.

Mr. Wilbur retired after 34 years at United Technologies Corp. in East Hartford, CT. Later he worked for the Southern Worcester County Elderbus, retiring after 8 years. Earlier in life, Mr. Wilbur was a little league coach and enjoyed bowling. He always enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and loved nothing more than spending time with his family. His family would like to thank the medical telemetry doctors and staff at St. Vincent Hospital for their exceptional care.
