Dear O'Day Family,

Please accept my belated condolences. I heard of your father's passing on my recent trip to RI. Your Dad is one of those very special adults in my youth who always lent a ready smile and encouraging words. I wish you all a swift return to 'normal life'.

It was an honour and privilege to have known your father. His thirst for life was inspiring. With unswerving optimism he embraced opportunity and seemed to flourish on a challenge. His larger-than-life personality and sense of humour are unmatchable. I still chuckle at his Quasimodo impersonation and bad jokes which he delivered with incredible enthusiasm. He was magnificent. His laughter will long echo in my heart. My thoughts are with you all.

We'll always remember Paul's outstanding sence of humor, and the times shared in Smithfield and the summers in Newport.

To My Dearest Cousins, Mark, Ann, Kevin, Beth and Bob and to each of your families.
Please accept our deepest heartfelt condolences at this time. Mere words cannot begin to express our sympathy over the loss of your Dad. I will forever cherish my memories of growing up with Uncle Paul and Auntie Jeannie and all of you. Those are lasting memories that have been seared into my soul. The parties, the birthdays, the communions, the confirmations and weddings. All the Easters, the Thanksgivings and Christmas’, Nana and Auntie Millie’s house, Bobby growing up in a right handed family/world, THE Cake, cleaning David’s and my room before you guys came to our house, the graduations, the sleepovers, the vacations. Watching Super 8 movies…”Uncle Bill you’re a door!!!”…From stealing apples at that orchard in R.I. to Fluffy to swimming in your pool. Swapping and hearing the endless stories about the UFO, Bobby driving home in reverse gear, Santa’s amorous reindeer, Nana’s Xmas tree, swiping a fence?, arguing with Kevin over which state was better…Mass or R.I. Who laughed so hard milk came out of his nose? All of the competitions…games galore…making up stuff…your friends in and around Barnes Street and that earlier house where you lived when we were so young. Running to Auntie Jeannie because I thought she was MY Mom. On and on and on and on. I often share these stories with Trish and it’s as if she was there too…I bust her gut laughing. I will always remember the love you have always given and shown me. Please reflect on all of those carefree times now. We miss you all and we love you all. Fondly, BJ and Trish
