Ralph J. Gemelli, 70
Holden - Ralph J. Gemelli, 70, of Holden, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, in Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Patricia (Hunter) Gemelli; their children, a daughter, Aletha Howes and her husband Aaron of Bellevue, WA; two sons, Nick Gemelli and his wife Christine of Norwalk, CT and Tom Gemelli of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Hunter and Declan Howes and Callum Gemelli. He is also survived by a brother, Victor Gemelli and his wife Ginger of North Grafton; three sister, Janet Murphy and her husband Tom of Sandwich, Susan McFadden and her husband Ron of Penacook, NH and Joanne Hooley and her husband James of West Roxbury; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Francis Gemelli of North Grafton and John Gemelli of Millville. He was born in Boston, son of the late Francis and Gertrude (Miner) Gemelli. He graduated from Northeastern University, and served his nation proudly in the National Guard.
Ralph worked in the insurance profession for many years at several companies, rising through the ranks to become a highly regarded executive. He was proud of his family, especially his children and grandchildren; and was proud to always mention that he was of Italian decent. Ralph loved sports and reveled in being a die-hard New England sports fan.
Calling hours for Ralph will be held privately for family on Tuesday, October 1, followed by a Funeral Service in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will be held privately as well.
