Rene Jalbert Obituary
Rene was born April 10, 1946 in Worcester, MA to Rita and Rene Jalbert Sr. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. He worked for many years as a wire extruder producing cable for the computer and telecom industries. He was an accomplished high school baseball pitcher whose love of sports remained with him throughout his life and he frequently shared his love of sports and cars with his family. He was a passionate fan of horse racing and spent many an afternoon cheering on his favorite horses to victory.
Rene spent 60 years in Auburn, MA. He and his family spent many wonderful summers vacationing in OOB, Maine. He retired to Nokomis, FL in 2007 to enjoy his snow free winters.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joyce, daughters Tracy, Renee, and Kristi, sons-in law Cliff, James and David, four grandchildren, Chantel, Alexander, Andrew, and Jackson, one great-grandchild Hayleigh and his beloved dog, Becky.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Manatee City, 2515 14th Street West, Bradenton, FL, 34205.

Tracy, Renee, Kristi & family, so sorry for the loss of your wonderful father. Know that he loved each one of you, your spouses and his grandchildren and great-granddaughter so very much. Every visit with each of your families have meant so much to him. He always had fond memories of your visits to share. Joyce, I cannot begin to express the loss we feel of such a good friend. We go back so many years with Rene but our fondest memories are the last several years and the fun times we haved shared in Florida. He will be missed so very much. He has enjoyed the last years doing what he loved most, being by the ocean, sitting in the sun, watching the races, going to the track and spending time with you, his family and Becky. He will never be forgotten,as he will live in our hearts forever.

Dear Joyce, Tracy, Renee and Kristi. Rene will be fondly remembered. I love the story he used to tell of how he helped my dad put out a forest fire in the pine grove of Powder Horn using only 5 gallon buckets. He was truly part of the "old guard". Be well.
