So sorry to hear of the passing of such a great man. He was my driver ed teacher. He was so calm. My second day driving he had me take the wheel on Washington Street in Boston. I think I ran over a teddy bear. He told a panicked 16 year old not to worry, it was only a stuffed animal. He did a great job teaching me how to drive. 45 years later I am proud to say that I have never gotten a ticket! People tell me I drive like an old lady and I always tell them "No, I drive like the perfect driver Mr. Paulhus taught me to be! RIP I will keep up the safe driving.

Maureen and family, I was saddened to learn of Dick's passing. I worked with Dick for thirty years at Medway High, not only was he a great teacher, but also a great human being. He went above and beyond for the students of Medeay as a class and yearbook advisor as well as member and then chairman of the scholarship committee. I remember the twinkle in his eye, his great laugh, and his endless supply of puns! He was one of a kind. He will be missed. Dianne Tattersall

I'm sorry to hear this. Mr. Paulhus was my French teacher at Medway Jr. Sr. High. I don't remember a lot of French these days (it's been about 30 years), but his class was wonderful. He had a great sense of humor and al of patience. I'm sure he will be greatly missed. Blessings and love to the family.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Paulhus. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He was one of my first French teachers in Medway. Because Mr. Paulhus let me be challenged beyond the classroom, a lifetime love of languages began for me. He was always kind and let did not hesitate to let his students grow to the fullest of their capabilities. May God surround you all with His peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Merci pour l'inspiration, M. Paulhus (Sept. 2015)

To the family of Richard Paulhus:
His sense of humor was unique, his teaching talent superb. M. Paulhus helped fuel my desire to explore cultures other than my own, not to mention many trips to keep my French skills in check (I was in Paris 3 weeks ago). M. Paulhus will be missed.
Mes condoléances à vous tous, de Beyrouth, au Liban...

Mr. Paulhus was my French teacher at Medway High. I now live in Switzerland and when I speak French, I think of all he taught me. He was a very kind and patient man. He also took a bunch of us to a French restaurant one time and had to pay from his own pocket as some of us were unprepared for the cost! I remember him fondly.
