Robert Carlson Obituary

Robert K. Carlson, Sr., 81

West Boylston - Robert K. Carlson, Sr., 81, passed away in his home on Sunday, May 2, 2021 with his loving family beside him.

Robert was born in Worcester, son to Myrtle (Peterson) and Arthur Carlson. Upon completion of High School, Robert worked for over 30 years as a machinist, in the abrasives department, for Norton company. After meeting and marrying his wife, MaryJane, they raised their four children together in West Boylston: Robert K. Carlson, Jr. and spouse Kimberly, Diana Carey and spouse Mike, Linda Elie and spouse David and Joseph Carlson.

Robert enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved working in his yard during the day before spending the night in the screen house listening to the Redsox and enjoying a cold Keystone, baby. He loved his Patriots and enjoyed handicapping horse racing. He also enjoyed casino trips with his beloved wife. His favorite past time was telling stories and singing to his grandchildren.

Robert is deeply loved and will be terribly missed by all who love him including his beloved wife of over 57yrs, MaryJane (Colangelo). He was predeceased by his parents and siblings; Harold, Raymond, Evelyn Lorusso and Dorothy Pachanian. He leaves behind two sisters Phyllis Chase and Gail Usher. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Danielle, Stephanie, Robert, Devin and great-grandson Westin, who lovingly called him Caw Caw as well as his dear friends of 60 years, Arthur and Lillian Carlstrom and many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Kindred Hospice who made his final days comfortable and peaceful.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Robert's life with visiting hours Thursday, May 6th from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Fay Brothers Life Celebration Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kindred Hospice, 130 Rumford Ave. #211, Auburndale, MA. Dear Mary Jane and family,
I did not get to know your husband, but he sounds like a wonderful, loving husband, father, and grandfather. Your "New Normal" will be different for sure but do not forget that a part of your loved one remains with you always. Ron and I are praying that the Arms of Jesus Christ will hold you and your family in His Loving Peace and Comfort always.

Deepest sympathy to MJ, Joe and family. The Kill was as unique as the word itself. He never judged me and was always loving and kind. He will be missed by anyone who knows anything.
