Robert Houde Obituary

Robert K. Houde, 84, passed away peacefully Monday, June 14, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his loving wife of 62 years, Doris R. (Gordon) Houde; two sons: Chad and his wife, Margie, of Millbury;, Joel and his wife, Jean, of North Grafton; three daughters: Jackie Piette and her husband, Gilles, of North Grafton; Robin Gasco and her husband, Dan, of South Grafton; Bonny Houde and her husband, Kevin, Branowicki of Oxford; 10 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. Mr. Houde was born in Worcester October 4, 1925 the son of the late Joseph and Ellen (Atchue) Houde. He worked 35 years as a machine operator at Wyman Gordon Co. in North Grafton retiring in 1986. He was a US Navy World War II veteran serving in The Asiatic Pacific Theater aboard The U.S.S. Canberra and was a former parishioner of St. Mary's Church in North Grafton. Mr. Houde was an avid sports fan particularly enjoying baseball. His greatest joy was his family and times spent with them.

Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St. Worcester MA 01608 or Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018. Private Funeral services will be held in The Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St. in North Grafton. There are no calling hours. He will then be laid to rest with Naval Military Burial Honors in St. Philip's Cemetery in Grafton. A Condolence Book may be signed at:
