Robert E. Sullivan

Robert E. Sullivan, 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family Sunday, March 9, 2008. Born September 29, 1930 in Worcester, MA, he was a son of the late William J. Sr. and Katherine (Lowney) Sullivan. He was a graduate of Worcester North High School, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He retired after many years from the Hamilton Standard Division of United Technologies Corporation.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Doris (Chickosky) Sullivan; his devoted sons, Robert Sullivan Jr. and his wife Diane (Sarussi) of Singapore, and Paul David Sullivan and his wife, Hilda (Theriault) of Simsbury, CT. He will also be missed by his cherished grandchildren, Annemarie Sullivan, Andrew Sullivan, Alice Dunn, Paul Sullivan Jr., and Patrick Sullivan. He also leaves his sister, Dorothy Dunphy and her husband Donald of West Boylston, MA and brother William J. Sullivan and his wife Patricia of Worcester, MA.

A funeral service for Robert will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008 beginning at 9:00 AM from Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 N. Main Street, East Longmeadow, with a Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10:00 AM, in St. Michael's Church, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield. Friends may call from 4-8 PM, Thursday, March 13th at the funeral home.
