Roger Emanuelson Obituary

Roger A. Emanuelson, 58, of Bigelow Road, died peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2006, at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Allison (Norcross) Emanuelson of Douglas; four children, Megan Perrotta and her husband Derek of Grafton, Heather Levine and her husband Daniel of Swampscott, Erin Emanuelson of Winthrop, and Matthew Emanuelson of Winthrop; his mother, Margaret (McCullough) Lloyd and her husband Alden of Sandwich; three brothers, David Emanuelson and his wife Doris of Old Town, FL, John Emanuelson and his wife Mary of Dover, DE, and Brian Emanuelson and his wife Jennifer of Dallas; a sister, Elaine Hammond and her husband James of Attleboro; four grandchildren, Rachel, Katie, and Sean Perrotta, and Sarah Levine; his mother and father-in-law, Linwood and Edith Norcross of Oxford; many nephews, nieces, and many, many very dear friends. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late George A. Emanuelson. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1966, Princeton University in 1970 and then Georgetown Law School in 1973.

Mr. Emanuelson was a partner at Lecomte, Emanuelson, and Doyle Law Firm in Quincy. He was also a former Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County. Mr. Emanuelson was a member of Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton and was the coach for his daughter's basketball team at Holy Rosary in Winthrop.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at the Oxford United Methodist Church, 465 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Wednesday, January 3, 2007, from 4-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.
