Ruby Gomes-Hannah Obituary
GARDNER/CHARLTON - Ruby J. (Burlingame) Gomes-Hannah, born December 9, 1936 and passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner. She passed suddenly but peacefully. She was predeceased by her husband Louis Gomes.
Ruby was the loving daughter of Homer and Charlotte V. (Whitcomb) Burlingame. She was a sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She leaves behind her husband Michael Hannah, her twin sister, Ruth Farrows wife of the late William Farrows of Southbridge, sister Hazel Szlosek and her husband Paul Lintee, of Southbridge, sister Jean Coureville wife of the late Paul Coureville of Charlton, she also leaves her brothers; Elliot Burlingame and his wife Joan, Roy and his wife Tonya, Kenyon and his wife Marjorie, and Nelson and his wife Joanne all of Charlton.
Ruby also leaves behind her only daughter, Melody wife of Robert Brown of Gardner with whom she resided with for the past 7 months of her Happy Life. She also leaves her sons Carl Gomes of Gardner, Homer Gomes of Webster, and James Gomes of Dudley and one other son, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a loving, caring person that loved her family and was very will powered. She was a strong woman that loved watching her favorite shows and going to church. She had a joy for riding motorcycles.
Ruby is an amazing woman and will always be missed and in our hearts.
There are No calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11:30 AM at West Ridge Cemetery in Charlton.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to any Veterans' Organization of one's choice.
The Robert J. Miller-Charlton Funeral Home, 175 Old Worcester Rd., is assisting Ruby's family with arrangements.
