My sincere condolences to Dr. Johnson´s family. He was a wonderful, caring and compassionate doctor. He helped me through four pregnancies.
My mother-in-law grew up next door to him and babysat him as a child. As he got older she would love to listen to his piano playing. Rest In Peace, Dr. Johnson. Thank you for the decades of care and compassion you provided to me.

Please accept my sincerest sympathy in the loss of such a great man and doctor. Having lost 2 infant sons, it was Dr. Johnson who found the problem and enabled me to have the children I have today. I will be forever grateful for this wonderful doctor for his kindness, consideration and caring. He was much loved by his patients. May you rest in peace.

Dr. Johnson was my mom's Ob. She absolutely thought the world of him. He delivered myself and my sister at Hahnemann. She always said that he was the best doctor. She was sad when he retired, and when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2014, she would have loved his support. She passed away this past November.
I am truly sorry for the loss of Dr. Johnson. But I am thankful for how he treated my mom over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear family, What a kind compassionate man Dr. Johnson was. I had a serious car accident being left without the use of my left arm. I encountered many a medical professional that thought I was ridiculous at keeping it. Then that always dreaded appointment with Dr. Johnson (after his own accident), not because of him but the exam that was involved. Time stood still that day as we both discussed our changes in life, mostly he listened to me with such understanding & compassion that my outlook on keeping my arm to this day was influenced by this wonderful doctor. Then as I see, in 2012 I got to be at his induction into the Worcester Public Schools Hall of Fame as I was in attendance as my class president, Al Nordberg was also inducted. What a surprise to learn another side of Dr. Johnson's life. No wonder I thought he was super & I might add that many a patient that I knew of his also thought the same. Sorry that was the last time I bumped into him but he never was out of my mind because of how he made me feel that day we chatted about our injured limbs. Thank you my friend & I pray for comfort for your family, especially Betsy. Just know you were all loved buy a man that was loved by so many. My deepest sympathy is extended to you all.

I had the opportunity to share many a lunch in the Hahnemann Hospital cafeteria, a perfect way to decompress the morning routine with his self-deprecating sense of humor, which continues to make me smile. Part of a generation of physicians committed to their patients above all else, except golf, of course. Wonderful memories for all who knew him. My deepest condolences to his family, and friends.

I have been privileged to know and be associated with Dr Russ Johnson for almost 50 years since my arrival in Worcester, he is whom I would call a doctor´s doctor, such a wonderful human being and skilled physician, who was very kind and had nary a cross word.
I have been told that he would have been recruited to a MLB team had he not opted to pursue a medical carrier.
My heartfelt condolences to his wonderful wife Betsy and his family, may he Rest In Peace
