Tom lived his life as everyone should, living each day to the fullest and always helping others along the way.
My dad, Lawrence Lundvall, and he became great friends when Tom learned Dad was " a real cowboy from Wyoming". They swapped stories and spent many hours playing pool.
My favorite memory of your parents was when they would sit in their golf cart and admire the sunsets at Brittany Estates each evening.
They were special people and made a difference in many lives.
Our thoughts are with you,

My husband Lawrence Lundvall, and your father had the most fun playing pool every morning. When we had a surprise birthday party on Lawrence's 95th birthday. Tom wrote a special song by changing the words to the tune of I'm An Old Cowhand. My son-in-law made a video of it and Tom also told a few stories that Lawrence had told him. Now both of them are gone but we have that great video and I play it over and over. Dan made a copy of the tape for Tom and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I spent the winter months down at Leesburg became friends with both Tommy and Karen they were such a great couple They will be so sadly missed

July 6, 2014

Both of your parents brought joy and friendship to many of us in Brittany. Karen worked with me in the gardens here and we shared many happy hours decorating the park. Tommy was always willing to take that chain saw and trim away when things were too difficult for me. I remember going to check out a restaurant once and the hunk of steak Tommy got was big enough to feed a family and he polished off the whole thing! One of the things I remember most was Tommy offering to let my dad (who was about 98 or 99 at the time) drive his pontoon boat when he took us out for a ride. Dad enjoyed that so much. In his youth he had worked on a river boat so it brought back memories and they both had their pilots license so had that in common. A gap has truly been left here in Brittany and neither will be forgotten.
Our deepest sympathy to the entire family.
