Veronika Maslon Obituary

Veronika (Beben) Maslon, 86, of Third Avenue, died Friday, December 31, 2010, in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge with her family at her side. Her husband, Stanislaw, predeceased her.

She leaves 2 daughters: Bozena Dzierzek and her husband John of Westminster, and Joanna Drabato and her husband Andrzej of Webster; a son, Jerzy Maslon, with whom she lived; 8 grandchildren: Diane, Elizabeth, Angela and her husband Kevin, Christina, Anna, Christopher, Monika and Kate; a son-in-law, Michael Piesak of Dudley; a brother, Stanislaw; and 4 sisters: Stefania, Helena, Genowefa and Bronislawa, all in Poland; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 daughters: Janina and Krystyna Maslon and Maria Piesak, and by a brother and 2 sisters.

She was born and raised in Poland, a daughter of Franciszek and Anna (Kuras) Beben. She moved to Dudley in 1982.

Mrs. Maslon worked as a spinner at Anglo Fabrics Company in Webster before she retired. She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica in Webster.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011, from the Sitkowki & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, January 3, in the funeral home. Masses may be offered for the repose of her soul.
