Vincent Caracciolo Obituary

Vincent F. "Vinnie" Caracciolo, 82

Worcester/Grafton - Vincent F. "Vinnie" Caracciolo went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2015 after a valiant battle with a long illness.

He was blessed and honored to share his zest for life with family and friends from his childhood home in Worcester to his homes in Sterling, his beloved Camp Walkalo in western Maine and his most welcomed presence in the home of his daughter Gail Tebo in Grafton.

Vinnie loved the outdoors, to have the sun on his face, his dogs by his side and the joys of sharing a story or two with good company and a glass of Chianti.

He'd tell you right now, "enjoy life, tell the truth, finish what you start and don't take any bs".

Life is best shared in good times and bad with the company of those who know you and are willing to stick around.

He'd like to thank all those who supported and cared for him. Your kindness and compassion was not without witness and was so appreciated.

To Dr's Gavin and Phillips at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical center, "you are truly an honor to your profession".

To Dr's Goss and West in Maine and his hospice Nurse in Grafton, Kjeristen, your compassion and diligence made a remarkable difference in his life, Thank you.

Vinnie spent his life dedicated to public service. He spent time in service to his country in the United States Coast Guard. He served the Worcester Fire Department, the Worcester Police Department and spent over 28 years in a job he loved as a member of the Massachusetts Environmental Police, retiring as the first inland Major.

He leaves behind a host of friends and his family; daughter Gail Tebo her partner, John G. Harrington, daughter Lorie Kendrick and her husband Scott, Grandchildren; Daniel V. Tebo, Brittany Caracciolo and Vincent Kendrick. His long time companion Merri Walker and his four legged family members, Bruin, Bandit, Libby and Titan.

I've lived a life's that full, I traveled each and every highway and more, much more than this I did it my way.

His family asks that in lieu of flowers you honor Vinnie with donations to The Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675 or online at www.WoundedWarriorProject.org or The American Heart Association PO Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220 or online at www.Heart.org.

All are invited to gather with Vinnie's family and friends Monday June 29th from 5pm to 8pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Vinnie Tuesday June 30th at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church 17 Waterville St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. Burial will be private at his family's convenience. Having the pleasure of working alongside Vinnie at times was a great experience and honor. He was a man of integrity; and had a passion for his fellow man. May he rest in peace knowing he left this world a better place for all; and remember, For as long as one is not forgotten, they are truly never gone.
