Vitte Chunis Obituary
Millbury - Vitte J. Chunis, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 9th at Care One at Millbury.
Vitte was a lifelong resident of Millbury and served in the US Navy Seaman Second Class in WWII. He leaves his two children Carol Clark and Diane O'Hearn of Maine, a son in law Philip, and four grandsons Matthew, Jonathan, Andrew, and Daniel. Vitte was predeceased by his wife Jessie (Saulenas) and leaves behind an extended family of Mariann Saulenas, Thomas Saulenas and Joan Butler. He also leaves behind his brother Peter Chunis and wife Frances and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph T. and Vincenta (Aiducavich) Chunis and his brothers Joseph R. and John.
Vitte was a member of the Teamster Local 170. He enjoyed traveling, polka dancing, scratch lottery tickets and visits to the casino with his wife Jessie.
Family and Friends will honor and remember Vitte's life by gathering for a Memorial Mass on Friday, May 7th at 11 a.m. in St Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury, MA. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, we suggest a memorial contribution be made to Veterans Inc, 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
