William N. Wright

William N. Wright, 79, of Miller Drive, passed away on August 13, 2008, in his home, surrounded by family members. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ursula (Simon) Wright; four sons: David and his wife, Karen of Longview, Texas, Douglas of Frenchtown, NJ, Reverend Thomas Wright, SMA of Rome, Italy, Stephen and his wife, Tracy of Southington, CT; five grandchildren: Nicholas, Matthew, Brett, Allison and Mitchell; two sisters: Nancy Anderson of Gardner, MA and Jane Whittaker of Huntsville, Alabama. Bill was born in Summit, NJ, the son of William N. and Lela (Murray) Wright, Sr. Bill worked in the family business of William E. Wright & Sons, Co. for many years. He was involved in many town affairs, among them being Chairman of the Quaboag Regional High School Building Committee. He served as Assessor from 1985-2008, was a former President of Warren Improvement Assoc., a member of the Warren Public Library Corporation, a Water Commissioner and a former Trustee of the Spencer Savings Bank. Bill was Treasurer of the former Federated Church of Warren, where he also sang in the Choir for many years. The funeral services for Bill will be held at the First Congregational Church, 36 North Main St., West Brookfield, MA on Saturday, August 16th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at a later date. Calling hours will be at Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old West Brookfield Rd./Rte. 9, Brookfield, MA on Friday.
