Bobby Read Obituary
READ, Bobby Rex, age 75, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on August 23, 1940, to William B. Read and Addie Thompson Read. He was a lifelong resident of Cheatham County, Tennessee, a member of the graduating class of 1958 at Ashland City High School and a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked in the auto parts industry for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Addie Thompson Read ; son, Richie Read; brother, W.B. Read; and sisters, Ann Read and Marie Fizer. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eunice Read; son, Chris Read (Samantha); daughter, Kim Alley; grandchildren: Justin and Daniel Alley and Conner Read; and two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Jones and Presli Tramell. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC, with military honors. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 3, 2016, from 1pm to 7pm and on Saturday from 10am until service hour of 2pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Alley, Connor Read, Ronnie Smith, Royce Shivers, Carl West and Charles Nichols. Honorary pallbearers are Spencer Griffin and Ray Fizer.
