To The Smartt Family:
With Sympathy on the loss of Brian; May the wonderful memories of Brian's love be in your heart always. I was saddened to learn of his passing, yet I could see his face with that comforting smile standing nearby on the tennis court. May God continue to watch over you.

God please comfort the Smartt family in their time of grief. When thinking about Brian, he was so many things to me; a friend, adopt brother, tennis coach, and adviser. I can remember his voice yelling COME ON or YOU CAN DO IT during a tennis match. Also its unforgettable the way he had a smile everytime I saw him. It's a lot we can learn from a person like Brain. Truly, Brian will always be remember by me and never forgotten. From the bottom of my heart I can say it was a blessing to have met Brian Smartt

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Brian's death. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years through Tennis South and the USTA League Programs. He worked very hard with all of the tennis players that loved him. He will be greatly missed at Tennis South and in our "tennis family". Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

My deepest condolences go out to the Smart family on the lost of Brian I feel like I've lost a brother in Brian he taught me the joys of tennis, and I will never forget him for that I will never forget the smile he had for everyone he encountered or the look on his face when his tennis team was doing what he taught us. Brian you may be gone but you will never be forgotten nor the things that you taught me about tennis. Thank you for a wonderful gift in teaching me how to play tennis.

I will keep all of you in my prayers. Brian and I played doubles together for many years. We played locally and traveled to Memphis, Dallas, Houston, Mobile and other places to compete in the game he loved so dearly. He was able to give so much of himself through the game of tennis. Through his giving many young people are blessed today. He will be missed but never forgotten.

My heart goes out to the Smartt family. I met Brian through tennis not very long after I moved to Jackson from Memphis in 2008. He was such a wonderful person, I can't believe he's gone. May God give his family the strength to carryon after such a tremendous loss.
