Emily Thornton RAMER

RAMER, Emily Thornton Of Nashville, passed away April 14, 2011. Preceded in death by her husband, Emmet M. Ramer, and survived by her son, Samuel T. Ramer; daughter, Emily Ann Ramer; grandchildren, Kelly Moody, Erin Ramer, and Ben Ramer; 3 great-grandchildren; her sister, Eloise Pace; brother, Lewis Thornton; and loving nieces and nephews. Born December 5, 1924 in Pelzer, S.C, she became a nurse and worked at the VA in Memphis and Nashville for 30 years. She poured her life out in service to others, and her great faith in Christ was evident to all who knew her. Memorial service will be conducted Monday, April 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Nashville. Visitation with the family will be at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please give to Students International, P.O.
