I never got to meet Jerry, but I did have the pleasure of seeing him in concert. We managed to get front row seats, and when he conversed with the audience, it felt like he was talking directly to us. He was a wonderful entertainer, and from all I hear and read, a wonderful person. May God bless and comfort Jerry's family and friends.

I met Mr. Jerry Reed on April 18, 2008 at the Alvin York VA Hospital in Murfreesboro TN. He was such a kind, gentle, friendly, and funny man.

He will always be a HERO to me because he took time out of his life to do good and right for our Wounded Warriors and for our Veterans. This was his way of saying Thank You to them for their military service to our country.

God Bless you Jerry Reed for doing such wonderful work and deeds for our Warriors and Veterans. And Thank You Jerry for your military service to our country.

My thougths and prayers are with the Hubbard family in the coming days in their time of grief and sorrow.

Many, many nights were spent by a young man in Jacksonville, Alabama listening to the great Jerry Reed. I have been so blessed to have memories of his concerts in my mind and have movies to watch for the rest of my life. I played his music on the back steps when learning the guitar - How many young people did he influence with his smile, laughter, song, and smiles!

Thanks to the family for sharing Jerry with the world and allowing him to make a little boy into a man who loves his music. The Rick and Bubba show were the last times that I heard his voice. laughter and "SON".

May God bless you and keep you as only he can. Seek comfort in his word and in your knowledge that Jerry had a relationship with his Lord.

My thoughts are with you in your great loss.
