Nashville, TN
Jimmy R. Baird Jr., age 44, local contractor, met His Savior, Sept. 18th, as the result of an accident. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy R. Baird Sr. Survived by mother, Alice (Franklin) Harbour, siblings Loraine (James) Hage, Jennifer (Scott) Rogers, numerous aunts, uncle, nephews, nieces, and cousins, and his wife Glori, daughters, Jade, Sianna, Rubi, and son, Trey. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Church Assembly of God, 108 Stones River Rd., LaVergne, Tn. 37086, at 2 PM, Sept. 30th. One of the greatest memories of my life is thanks to Jimmy Baird. Years ago, back when I was part of Harvest International Church's youth group U-Turn Extreme, Jimmy and EJ Irizarry took a bunch of the guys in this 4x4 on a mudding trip. I don't think I'll ever forget hearing Jimmy's hilarious stories on that trip or the incredible thrills from plowing through big puddles and driving really rough terrain in the backwoods of Hermitage, TN. The other thing I'll never forget about him is how much he loved you, Glori, and how tender he was towards you. He was a man of God who lived John 13:34"A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

Jimmy was just an all round good guy! I will forever be grateful for God putting Jimmy (and Glori) in my son, Micah's life. He was a teenager searching. Jimmy accepted him for who and where he was. He truly showed God's love not by preaching to the kids in that youth group but by his daily walk and actions. Glori, their beautiful children, Alice and his sisters are in my thoughts and prayers. May you all feel God's presence and love.
