age 75, passed away August 16, 2016.
Preceded by parents, Joe & Ruby Tubbs; brothers, Bill & Bob Walters; sister, Betty Denson.
Survived by wife of 52 years, Dianne Tubbs; children, Joe "Tiger" (Debbie) Tubbs, Lesli (Roy) Rice, Paul (Angela) Tubbs, Wendy (Keith) Byrd; grandchildren, Dylan Rice, Taylor Tubbs, Tyler Tubbs, Katee Byrd, Carley Carlisle, Matti Byrd, Brody Royalty, Brayden Tubbs; brothers, Mike Tubbs, John (Susan) Lange; numerous nieces & nephews and beloved pet, Baby Boy.
Services will be 1pm Saturday, August 20th at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, officiated by Bro. Bruce Chesser.
Visitation will be Friday, August 19th from 2-8 at Sellars Funeral Home at Hendersonville and Saturday, August 20th two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Springhill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to 2nd Base Foundation, 34 Wyndermere Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075.

joe and i became friends through the old mens fastpitch softball leagues. not only was Joe and his team a fixture for some 30 years but joe and a very few others took it on themselves to preserve the sport when it was obviously dying. i will always appreciate this.
and although joe could drive you crazy in the protection of his teams rights, (crossing the white lines) there was never, ever any doubt of his love of sport in general and it was there he and i bonded.

joe was my friend from first grade. the big guy was sports crazy like me.he will be missed.hope the family knows he was loved by all.sad day for me.

Joe was a great friend. We had a many a good laugh together and some great parties. I was always calling him a tea sipper.
