Justin McGhee Obituary

Justin "Red" McGhee

Justin Lee "Red" McGhee, age 15 of Springfield, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at North Crest Medical Center.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 8th at 1 p.m., in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home, with Dr. Donnie Bryant and Bro. Gary Dillard officiating. Interment followed in the Springfield Memorial Gardens, with Josh Johnson, Riley Monfette, Shawn Monfette, Dalton Sayle, Kevin Claros, Jesse Smith, Brenden Witherspoon, and Dillian Spain serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers were Taylor Osborne, Logan Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Ashlee Osborne, Anna Osborne, and Bryan Bagwell.

Justin was born June 22, 2000 in Robertson County. He had begun his sophomore year at Jo Byrns High School, where he was also a member of the FFA Club. Justin loved basketball, hunting, hanging out with his friends, spending time with his family, and talking on his cell phone until the late hours of the night. He was attending Long Hollow Baptist Church Springfield Campus.

Justin was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Bettie Norman, James and Clara Heatherly, Robert and Ruth McGhee, James and Geraldine Robertson.

He is survived by his parents: Shaun and Kelley Jackson McGhee of Springfield; brother: Kaelin McGhee of Springfield; grandparents: Eva Brigman of Springfield, James and Judy Jackson of Springfield, Theda McGhee (Walter Reynolds) of Springfield, Dudley and Janice McGhee of Greenbrier; great-grandfather: Robert Norman of Springfield; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Memorial contributions may be made to the FFA Chapter at Jo Byrns High School.

Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
