Michael Mullen Obituary

Michael Jay Mullen

Nashville, TN

Age 45. Survived by his parents, Maryanne Bott (Phil) and Jay Mullen (Cathy); brother, Kevin Mullen (Leah); niece, Elyse Mullen; nephew, Brogan Mullen; many other family members and close friends.

Mike, known by many of his friends simply as "Mullen", was a Certified Public Accountant, and held a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Accountancy, earning both degrees at the University of Tennessee.

Mike was born and raised in West Virginia and remained there until his matriculation to the University of Tennessee. Upon completion of his studies at the University, Mike moved to Nashville to begin his professional career in 1993, where he lived until his passing.

Mike enjoyed visiting his family and cherished his relationship with his brother Kevin, Leah and their children. Mike loved the outdoors, and particularly loved trout fishing on the streams in West Virginia, Tennessee and Montana with his father, brother, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Mike's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A visitation will precede the Memorial Service at Noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission.

I am very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of spending time with him both professionally and personally as he showed me around Nashville. I felt we became good friends in a short time. He was very intelligent with a great sense of humor! He will be missed.
