Age 88, passed away May 24, 2016 at Humphreys County Nursing Home.

Mrs. Collier was born July 10, 1927 in Waverly, TN to Clyde and Eunice Lashlee May. She was a Steward and member of Salter's Chapel AME Church.

Mrs. Collier is survived by her son, James R. Collier, M.D. (Conra) of Brentwood, TN; daughter, Jeannine Collier Matthews of Waverly, TN; sister, Janie Hill of Arlington, TX; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Mrs. Collier was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Robert Collier; sons, Maxie T. Collier, M.D., Danny L. Collier, and Gerald D. Collier; brother, Willie May; and grandson, Maurice Collier.

Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m.; Service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2016 in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
