Sad to read about Judge Jenkin's passing. I was so fortunate to know him when I became Juvenile Court Judge of Wilson County in 1982. We were members of the Juvenile Judges Association and his experience was a great help to me personally and to the Association. I know his Family will miss him greatly. Jean and I offer our heart felt condolence. He will be missed by all his friends. Judge Haywood Barry, Lebanon Tn.

My husband met Judge Jenkins in the courtroom when he was a teenager. He gave my husband chances to change his bad behavior and when he didn't, he sent him to Pikeville. My husband respected Judge Jenkins because of the way he treated him in court and was grateful for the lesson he learned while in Pikeville. In fact, he says we need a lot more judges like Judge Jenkins because he was fair but stern. So sorry for your loss and I pray that God gives you the peace and comfort you need! Rest in peace Mr. Jenkins, you will be remembered and missed!

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Richard!
I am keeping you in our thoughts and prayers!! The Judge holds a special place in my heart as he was as huge part of my childhood! How many men would take a teenager to go out to search the creeks for a frog for her Biology class and end up teaching her how to frog gig! Love, hugs and prayers!
