Survived by wife , Deborah Pullen Washington; son, James Pullen Washington; sisters, Mary Haynes, Thelma Clark, and Yvonne Turner; brother, Theodore ( Margaret) Washington, Jr.
Public viewing Saturday, July 28, 1-6PM at Smith Funeral Directors. Family will be present (1-4). Visitation Sunday , July 29, 5-6PM, Funeral to follow at Greater Bethel AME Church. Interment, Monday, July 30,9 AM. Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Pegram, TN.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Ted may be made to the Ted M. Washington Scholarship Fund c/o the Nashville State Community College Foundation, 120 White Bridge Road, Nashville, TN 37209 or via their website www.nsccf.org/donate.

To the Washington Family, Ted Washington was the absolute BEST!!!! He started out as my instructor and ended as my friend and constant supporter and cheerleader. Everybody should be so blessed to have a Ted Washington in their life. I will truly miss my forever friend. May God continue to bless strengthen, comfort and keep you.

We are praying for the family at this sorrowful time. Ted and I were classmates at NSCC back in the 70; it seems that he went on to be a successful administrator . I'm truly proud, as I'm sure you are, of his accomplishments. We will be lifting you up in prayer.
