As a VOA "old-timer", we who are still at the job remember Tom and his quiet, friendly demeanor.Memories of him hold a warm spot, and affectionate thoughts. May his family be sustained by similar great memories, and continue to celebrate his 86 years.

To me, Tommy was the epitome of "Old School TSU" and was a "True Blue" alumnus. Whenever he was present, he always pitched in to help no matter what. We undoubtedly were cousins since we came from the same part of Tennessee, we shared a common relative, Sabra Conner and Tommy's last name was identical to my paternal grandmother's name. May God bless and keep him and may Heaven forever shine upon him.

Tommy was a "True Blue" alumnus of TSU. No one loved TSU more than Tommy. Although it was never proven, most likely we were, not too distant, cousins. We shared a common relative, Sabra Connor and his last name was identical to my paternal grandmother's. We here in D.C will all miss his presence at picnics, dances, meetings, etc. May heaven forever shine upon him and may God grant him eternal peace.

Tommy was a man who loved his family and was truly loved by his family. The great greatgrandson of Fannie & Perry Pointer, Tommy was a delight to the family. He always stayed in touch and was knowledgeable of his family history. A man of integrity; self-discipline; a gentleman; a friend; a father; grandfather; a solider and a man of God will truly be missed by all who knew him. The family reunion in Cleveland willl not be the same but his memory will be with everyone.
I thank the good Lord for allowing me to have had conversations with a wonderful man named Tommy Southall, Jr. God Bless the Family. Prayer will heal your broken hearts.

Mom,
I am sorry for your loss. You have shared so much with Mr. Southhall and I know that he was a blessing to you, especially through all that you have been through in life. He was your special gift from God, even though it was for a short time. You and I know that God will see you through this. God will be there when you need him the most.
Love Nana (Your daughter)

As a member of the Washington DC Chapter and as President of the TSUNAA, my family and I are sadden by the lost of "Tommie" as he was called here in Washington, DC. He served the chapter for many years providing DJ services for the Chapter's many social activities. The best to his family at this time of lost.
