Pat was such a good man. When I was 25 he married us for free and put a big imprint on my life. He died 3 years later and there's just so much that I wish he knew. I am now the founder of @Gabriel Minton Ministries. This is owed. Thank you all!.

Dr. Burch was certainly a fine man. My grandchildren loved him so much. Because of his gentleness, they were never afraid of a dentist. Syrenas school “children” always called him daddy Burch and they all loved him. He is sadly missed.

To all
When we moved to Tennessee I was in the 7th grade and I was 12-13 years old. Dr. Burch became my dentist for what would last for 20 years. I am sad to hear of his passing.

I was only 7 years old when I first met Pat, thought he was the tallest man I have ever seen. That is the first time Sandra brought him home from college. Have so many fun memories of Pat,, going to New Orleans and Portland. When anyone mentioning going he was ready to go.
As a family, all we had to do was to call and he was there for us . When I was married in the 70's and we would come home for the holidays he would take us in to the office on the weekends to clean our teeth. This seems like a bad dream and how could Pat leave us so soon. Thursday morning 730A my daughter called and I stated had a strange dream that Mimi, our mother,
layed beside me in my bed in her pink gown and said Pat is going to be ok. Then on Thursday at 830A Sandra called for the family to come to the hospital. Pat was able to tell everyone goodbye and he loved us.
He was a very special brother in law and I will miss him dearly.

Uncle Pat
I am glad I was with you at the last. You went with a sigh, oh so, silently and so peacefully. The memory of that last day that is so embedded in my mind is the smile on your face as you held my grandson, Matthew. You so looked forward to seeing him, your great, great nephew. You had a smile for everyone, especially Sandra, who you were trying to ease the pain of your loss. Your love could be felt in that room. The nurses and Sean were trying to make sure you were comfortable and all you cared about was everyone's emotional wellbeing and the future of your family. Thank you for letting me know you. Thank you for showing me the pattern to follow as a Christian to meet death with courage.

Sandra and family,
Peggy and I wish we could be with you during this time of grief, and wish we could have lived closer during recent years, but God changed that when I was transferred to Charlotte in 1985. I will always have love in my heart for Pat and will remember fondly the times we sat together (every Sunday during high school years) at church and Pat would sing a beautiful bass and I would attempt tenor. He always kind and a great friend to me and I loved all the Burch family. You all have our prayers over the miles and will continue to be loved by our family. I'm really thankful that after our elementary years and high school years that we were reconnected closely at Madison Church of Christ. Those were great times and more recently the emails from Pat were most encouraging.
You all have our love and deepest sympathy during your grief, but the older I get, the more I look forward to heaven, where Pat and all of us will have no more pain.
We love you,
Halton and Peggy Gross

My sincere thoughts be with you at this time. Dr. Burch has been my dentist for over 30 yrs as we recalled on my last dental visit over a yr and a half ago. He was a giant of a man and even more a mighty warrior for the kingdom. My dental experiences were more like visiting an old friend because that's when we'd catch up and share pics and stories of our family. He loved those grandkids. I can't remember a time where he wasn't in a good mood. We discussed church, he being church of christ and me baptist (smile), we shared the same love for God. I can't tell you how shocked I was to see his name in the obits. I'll miss him...he was a kind and gentle man...never hurt me.

Uncle Pat,
I love you very much. I enjoyed growing up with you, Sandra, Sean, and Syrena. I have fond memories of you and many memories when we got together on Christmas Eve at grandmothers. You were one of God’s Sheppard’s giving of yourself to all who knew you. You are no longer in pain and in a greater place, heaven is shinning on you. You were my daughter’s, Ariel, favorite uncle, she loved you very much. We were so happy to be able to see you before you went to Heaven’s Gate. You told me to keep being “faithful” and to take care of your brother, Charles Burch, because he needs us and relies on us. We will miss you very much. Watch over Sandra, Sean, Syrena, their families, and the rest of the family. We will not forget you.

Sandra, Judy and I are so sad that we are not there with you. We are currently in Detroit. Pat and you were in our care group for years. What an example you were! Pat was our dentist for 35 years. Judy told him in our last visit that, in that 35 years, every time she came he always talked about the Lord. What a testimony! It was my privilege to serve with him on the mission committee for 15+ years. What a good man! The two of you were a great team as he served in the position of elder. Through the years, the two of you encouraged me time and again. We love you very much. We are currently far in distance, but close in heart. Reggy and Judy

I was very saddened when I read of the passing of Dr. Burch. He has been my dentist for over 25 years as we tallied on my last dental visit. He was a jolly man and he always made sure I didn't hurt. We often discussed church and the bible and he lovingly referred to me as "the brown lady who's skin he thought was coming off: when he wiped my face on my very first visit. We laughed about that at every visit. Even though I never met his family, he was always ready to share pictures of you all and his beloved grand children. I will truly miss him. My thoughts are with you all at this time of sorrow...but I know he was up for the task when God checked his name off the earthly list. He IS still a good guy and a christman warrior.

Pat and I started pre-med together in 1957. Pat in Dental and I in Medicine. I later went to Lipscomb and then with a change of heart to ST.Thomas School of Medical Technology. He became my Dentist later as we began to worship together ar the Madison Church of Christ. Pat was a Gentle Giant of a man after God's own heart even more than David. The loss from our presence is very painful for me, but what a LIFE, and such a graduation to God's House.
My heart goes out to you Sandra,Serena and Shawn and to our brothers and sisters who knew him

This is our tribute to you, Pat:
You stood tall among men looking ever so staunch;
A figure of authority, a man of conviction;
Yet, for us who knew you from the inside,
You were a bundle of joy, a sweet array of laughter,
A mind so sharp yet so meek,
A heart so soft and so loving,
A spirit so caring and so unique,
A soul so tender and so sincere.
You brought us hope when things seemed so bleak,
You steady our course when things seemed so confusing,
You gave us your all even when you felt so weak,
You tarry with us night and day, even when we felt so exhausted.
For all that you have done, our God has written down;
For all that you have touched, we are grateful ever so much;
For all that you have given, the angels rejoiced in heaven;
For all that you meant to all of us, Jesus used you to bless us.
We will see you later in heaven.
