The memories of my great aunt Caroline, she was a very kind, caring and humorous lady. I can remember staying the night at her house, going to bingo and then to dunkin donuts on the way home . Caroline would send me birthday cards in the mail, each card was for the age I was untill the age of twelve. It always had a dollar inside, how i couldnt wait to spend it. I can remember Carlolines mom baby sitting me and we would go to her moms (mae) house. My mom use to pick her up and we would go to the fruit and veggie stand on river road, we would also take her to the cemeteries to put flowers down for family. We would often go to Caroline and uncle petes house to visit , remembering how they had spearment leaves (uncle pete) her favorite was orange. My first pair of figure ice skates, she bought me for christmas. I still can remember the crochet doll dresses she made that went over toilet paper rolls with a doll in them ,Caroline made the most beautiful dresses. As I had gotten older we went to visit her on first street, she had a significant other, I had met. Caroline loved her canaries and she had lots of magnets on her refrigerator of all the places Caroline and (John)had been. Later down the road, we had visited her in campbell and shared a afternoon of her and mom talking about the good ole days with many laughs. You are missed here on earth, may you rest in peace, until we meet again, you will always be in my heart, Your great niece, michelle.

I have many fond memories of my aunt Caroline. She had the biggest heart for her family. My time with Caroline started from five days old , to being elderly. I can remember her and uncle pete taking me to their cottage boating and fishing on lamoka lake. From learning how to crochet and helping her on the farm in caton. We spent lots of time picking berries ,lilacs and listening to the soaps on the radio, because they were not on tv during that time. We also would go to woolworths for hot fudge sundaes and hyders to get pints of ice cream to enjoy sitting on the porch. She made all my doll clothes and we would all go to the fox and palace theatres. Caroline would send uncle pete up every year with my birthday cake. The fawn soda was always a treat. Bingo was a family fun game Caroline loved. Caroline was their for all five of my children. My first born I still have the afgan from 1958. Later in years we would just talk about our times spent together. May you rest in peace with your family and friends. You will always be in my heart. Shirley.
