Evan Smith Obituary
He attended Addison Schools and was a 1972 graduate of Addison Central School. Evan was most often found behind the wheel of a truck, working as a milk hauler, refuse truck operator and lastly, working for 24 years for the Town of Tuscarora Highway Department. He had also been employed at Polly O in Campbell and had helped various farmers in the area. On July 3, 1988, Evan and the former Mariann Vitulli were married at the First Baptist Church of Woodhull. She survives. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving fishing, hunting, camping and riding his ATV. He was a member of the local Teamsters Union.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold "Chub" Smith on June 17, 2000 and by his brother, Douglas Smith.
Surviving is his wife, Mariann Smith at home; his children, Aaron (Stephanie) Smith of Marietta, PA, Amanda Smith of Addison and Brandon Smith (Victoria Strobel) of Addison; his grandchildren, Gabby Smith, Autumn Smith, Abby Duran, Dakota Jones and Wyatt Smith; his mother, Eleanor Smith of Addison; his father, LeRoy Wheatcraft of Lakeland, FL.; his sisters, LaRae Smith of Addison, and Sherrie (Daniel) Vitulli of Woodhull; his brother, Edward (Myra) Smith of Addison; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in laws and cousins.
Friends may call on Saturday, September 12 from 4-7 PM and again on Sunday from 1-3 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be held there on Sunday at 3 PM with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery, Woodhull, NY. Words cannot express the loss of such a fine Gentleman. Telling his fishing and Hunting stories had my utmost attention. One of my Best Friends whom you could talk to and discuss our medical problems. Evan was always concerned about my many Health issues and ALWAYS brought the best in me. His contagious smile , sense of humor and the excitement in his voice when telling his stories will not be forgotten. To young to be leaving this Earth and your wonderful Family. Condolences to your loved ones. Rest in peace my Good Friend, We love and will miss you Brother. Good Night.

Mariann, Aaron, Amanda & Brandon, Words can not express my shock of hearing that Evan had passed away. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. I will always remember the good times I had with all of you four wheeling, camping and hanging out at the house. Good times had by all. Hugs to all.
