Trudy Young Obituary
Campbell - Trudy Lee Young, age 78 of Campbell, New York passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
She was born on April 24, 1943 in Renovo, Pennsylvania to James and Clara Smith. She attended South Side High School in Elmira, NY. She married Robert Young on January 29, 1965 in Catlin, NY. She was predeceased by her husband on July 11, 2008. She retired from A&P Plant in Horseheads and later retired from Campbell-Savona School District as a bus driver.
She enjoyed doing crafts and spending quality time with her family and two dogs Bucky and Magnum.
Trudy is survived by children: Eric Young of Atlanta, GA; Sylvia (Tim) Canfield of Horseheads NY; Greg (Marsha) Young of Hickory NC; Bryan Young of Hickory NC; grandchildren: Brandon, Robert "Bobby" (Calli), Macy, Desiree, Joilee; great grandchild: Memphis.
In addition to her parents, Trudy was predeceased by siblings: Jimmy Smith, Sylvia Schmoke, John Smith.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney Street, Corning, NY on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 7:00pm-9:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 9:30am. Burial will immediately follow in Ackley Cemetery, Sabinsville, PA.
A special thank you to Randy and Colleen Sutton and Maureen Cook for the love and support they have shown Trudy in her final days, and for all the Corvette rides.

Hi Sylvia - Eric...you may not remember me...we were neighbors on seneca place in elmira .. many many years ago and then i worked with your mom at the a&p...i was sad and sorry to read of trudy's death- i am sure it will leave a big hole in your family..but please know that others are thinking of you and praying your hearts will heal. take good care...most fondly sharon hornbeck
