Lloyd Holman Obituary

Lloyd C. Holman, 87, of Wilson went to his heavenly home Saturday, October 12, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Road NW, Wilson. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Mark Harrell will officiate.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, October 15, 2024, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

He was born in Livingston, Tennessee and graduated high school from Livingston Academy, Dell School of Medical Technology in Asheville, North Carolina and received his B.S. in Chemistry from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson.

Lloyd worked for thirty years as a Medical Technologist at the Special Care Center in Wilson. His strong work ethic and entrepreneurial talents led to success in land development and rental property ownership and management.

Lloyd was a faithful member and servant at Forest Hills Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family whether it was a Sunday afternoon or a week at the beach or in the mountains. He also enjoyed a good card game of hand and foot with friends. Lloyd was a wonderful husband, daddy, granddaddy, great-granddaddy, brother and friend and will be dearly missed.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Brenda Holman; daughters, Marcia Holman Proctor (Herbie) of Fuquay Varina and Melanie Holman Eason of Wilson; grandchildren, Megan McLamb (Brandon), Brian Eason (Paige), David Proctor, Alex Eason (Amber), and Kayla Eason; great-grandchildren, Easton, Hensley, Carter, and Nicholas, and his brothers, Edward Holman of Nashville, Tennessee, and JD Holman of Cookeville, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lucy Holman; sister, Mildred Sells, and his brothers, Bedford, Milburn, Robert, and Lester Holman.
