Mona Fulghum Obituary
Oct 27, 1954-July 20,2025
Mona Hendon Fulghum, 70, of Wilson passed away peacefully, Sunday July 20, 2025, surrounded by family after a brief illness. Funeral Services will be 11am Friday, July 25, 2025, at Marsh Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church, 6664 Rock Ridge School Rd, Sims, NC 27880. Interment will be following in the church cemetery. Rev. Ray Wells will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, July 24,2025, at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson NC 27896.
Mona will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Mona loved the beach, she loved to read and watch TV (especially NCIS).
Mona is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 38 years, Grady S. Fulghum; daughter, Allyson Fulghum Heath and husband John of Greenville; son, Christopher Fulghum of Dunn; grandson, Ty Fulghum; granddaughter, Sydney Fulghum both of Florida; sister, Linda White of Portageville, MO; brothers-in-law, Raeford Fulghum, James "Rabbit" Fulghum and wife Jannette, Gerald Fulghum and wife Linda, Larry Fulghum, and David Fulghum and wife Elaine; sister-in-law, Janet Louise Fulghum Barnes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Missouri, Utah, and North Carolina.
Mona is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Mildred Hendon.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Mona's memory to the Marsh Swamp OFW Baptist Building Fund.
