ABBEVILLE - Funeral services will be held Monday, August 26, 2013 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pecan Island honoring the life of Christopher Kyle Broussard, 44, who died Tuesday, August 20, 2013.
He will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.
He is survived by his son, Tevin Broussard of Lafayette; mother, Priscella T. Broussard; four brothers, Roger Broussard and his wife, Gwen of Pecan Island, James Colley and his wife, Adrienne of Lake Charles, Mark Broussard and his wife, Virginia of Lafayette, and Stan Colley and his wife, Julie of Mire; and five sisters, Emelie Colley and Ronnie Melancon of Rayne, Charlene Broussard of Abbeville, Louise Stelly and her husband, Ronnie of Abbeville, Be-Be Ann Hollier and her husband, Jr. of Cow Island, and Joan "JoJo" Bouillion and her husband, Blue of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Evans Broussard; and two brothers, Billy Wayne Colley and Richard Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary from 7:00 p.m.; Monday, August 26, 2013, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
The family would like to express a sincere appreciation to Julie Colley, who selflessly gave her time and energy to be with Chris on numerous occasions. We are deeply thankful for your sacrifice.

Chris you are an amazing man with a heart of gold... We enjoyed the visit with you and tevin at the house for our crawfish boil ...we talked about old times and had a blast.... God had bigger and better plans for you in heaven so he took you with him ... You will be missed by family and friends but never forgotten I love you brother in law
