Esther Mark Obituary
Lafayette - A Private Service was celebrated Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette for Esther Price Mark, 62, who passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 surrounded by family.
Esther was born October 5, 1953 in Meridian, MS and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. She graduated from University of Southern Mississippi.
Esther was active in her community and was the co-founder of the SPCA in Lafayette. She had a passion for animal welfare. Esther was a college football fan and enjoyed watching the games in the company of family and friends. She loved the beach, and Christmas was her favorite time of year.
Esther was survived by her brother, David Price of Clinton, MS; two children, Melissa Boyle and her husband, Michael, of Raceland and son, Kyle Mark of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Kayleigh and Michael Boyle, both of Raceland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Douglas Mark and her parents, Henry and Rosa Price.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Esther's name to Acadiana Humane Society, P.O. Box Drawer C, Sunset, LA 70584.
