I never got to meet Pat but we spoke by phone years back and he invited me and my family down. Frenchy and Louisa are my grandparents, so Ike (Sonny) to you all is my dad. Sonny spoke so highly of Pat and his family always. I know you will miss him he's done so much for everyone. I know you will carry on his great work. Sincerely, Monica Huval Reese (918.346.7492)

My condolences go out to the Huval Family at the loss of a pioneer in the Henderson Township. I knew Pat at an early age when He took ownership of Guidry's place prior to opening his Restaurant right at the bridge at the canal in Henderson. He has left quite a legacy to the People of Henderson as the first Mayor. May He rest in Peace.

I played football at Cecilia High School back in 1968-1969. That's where I first met Harvey Huval. I recently met up with Harvey again when my siblings and I took our mother out to Pat's Restaurant on mother's day 2016. My family and I received a warm and gracious welcome; the same warm and gracious welcome Mr Pat Huval and his family gave me when I stepped into his restaurant back in 1968 and 1969. I'll never forget how Mr Pat Huval accepted me as part of the football team. Last year when visiting the restaurant, having his family welcome myself and my family was such a satisfying experience in receiving that same kind of down home welcome. I thank the Huval family. Harvey I'll always remember your father as the great man that he was. I'm truly sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences go out to you and the Huval family. God bless you all.

Historically, as validated by my older brother, Pat has always been a mover and a shaker. The challenges that he faced during his life's journey, as he frequently expressed, were probably the cornerstone of his competitiveness and drive to explore options that others might only consider dreams. Based on his intelligence, creativity, and vision, he has had multiple accomplishments which have had far reaching effects. Not only is Pat recognized as a successful entrepreneur, he has given back to the community in various ways and has maintained a trusting relationship with unique resources that have been a benefit to all. Pat was proud of his Cajun heritage and his love of family and unshaken loyalty to friends remained a hallmark throughout his life. Without equivocation, most, if not all, would agree that Pat has been kind, generous, acknowledged accomplishments, and has always been part of the solution. On a lighter note and as Harvey and others would attest, Pat's ability to describe situations and Cajun interactions remains classic. Thanks My Cousin for all the wonderful memories! I offer my condolences to family and friends, as we pray for Pat's successful transition.
