Philip Desonier Obituary
LAFAYETTE - Memorial Services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Philip W. Desonier, age 57, who died on Friday, August 3, 2012 at his residence in Lafayette.
Reverend Nick Carroll, Lafayette Campus Pastor of Our Savior's Church will conduct the memorial services.
Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Jennifer C. Desonier; two daughters, Elise Desonier and Amelia Desonier; his brother, Lawrence "Larry" Desonier and his wife, Franny; two sisters, Julie Angers and her husband, Joe and Susan Hebert and her husband, Glenn; his nieces and nephews, Joey, Nicole and Thomas Angers, Corey, Amy and Brody Hebert, Mallory and Walter Comeaux; Chad, Eric and Alex Beraud, Aime, Mandy and Charly Darbonne; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Ruth Crappell; sisters-in-law, Lydia Comeaux, Stacy Beraud and her husband Chris, Mia Darbonne and husband, Rufus, and Haroldlyn Comeaux and her husband, Marty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Desonier and the former, Mildred Bonin.
Born on January 22, 1955 in New Iberia, Mr. Desonier was a resident of Lafayette for most of his life. He was employed at Lafayette General Medical Center and worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Jeff Budden. Mr. Desonier was a Scuba Diving Instructor and also played percussion at Hope Alive Church in Lafayette. He was a wonderful son, loving husband and father, who will be dearly missed.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time.

Although I only knew Phil for 9 months, he was such a blessing to me and my son. I enjoyed our visits and his wonderful sense of humor. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed life! You will be greatly missed. Thank you for blessing me and my life! Cheryl and Blake

Many lives were made better because of Phil. He was a good friend and I'll miss him. Phil always made me laugh; and he also challenged me to rise above my circumstances. My heart and prayers go out to all of Phil's family at this time of loss. Margaret (Maggie)Beyer
