Ann Nesbit Obituary

Ann passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Autumn Grove Cottage in San Antonio, Texas. She was 87. Ann was born in Uvalde, Texas on January 9, 1929. She was raised on the Hillside Dairy farm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ann spent most of her adult life as a military wife raising her five children and traveling the world, including Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Nebraska, Guam, California, Georgia, Louisiana, and San Miguel de Allende Mexico. She worked in retail where many would remember her from Poise n' Ivy and where she met many of her lifelong friends. Ann loved people, parties, travel, tennis and bridge, entertaining in her home, and most of all, her family. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Leigh Hardt, Alice Robinson Paulat and stepfather George Paulat; husbands Edward Henry Waldheim, Sr., Joseph Andrew Hallis Jr., and Wallace George Nesbit Jr.; daughter Dianne Waldheim Castleberry, and stepdaughter Amy Elizabeth Nesbit. Ann is survived by children Edward Waldheim and wife Kathy, David Waldheim, Mary "Katie" Lillback and husband David, and Christine "Chrissy" Moore and fiancé Brett Langlois; brother John Harry Hardt, and son-in-law Gordon Castleberry; grandchildren, Denise Waldheim Rawls, Laura Waldheim Carpenter, Leigh Waldheim Burns, Margaret "Clare" Castleberry, Dennis Castleberry Jr., Lauren Elise Lillback and fiancé Joshua Pollon, Alexandra Eve Lillback, Joseph Hallis and wife Chelsey, and Sarah Moore; great grandchildren, Adeline Burns, Marley Hallis, Christiauna Moore, and Gabriel Moore; step children, Wallace George Nesbit III, Scott Peterson Nesbit and wife Michelle, Cynthia Nesbit Joseph and husband Allen Joseph M.D.; step grandchildren, Nicholas Clesi Nesbit, Wallace George "Beau" Nesbit IV, Callie Nesbit Gorman, Courtney Sinclair Gorman, Andrew Scott Nesbit, Aimee Camille Nesbit, Michael Richard Brassett II, Kristen Michelle Brassett, and Noel Nesbit Brassett. A celebration of her life will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation, please consider Alzheimer's care, support and research organizations.

Mary/Katie and Chrissy and the rest of your family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Living with Alzheimers Disease is hard, letting them go is hard, but knowing that they are in a better place gives us peace.
