To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord...
Words can't express how sorry I am to hear of the passing of your Son, Husband, Father and Grandfather..I've known this family for years as a matter of fact Sister Shirley was like the mother I never had, making Pastor Rickey indeed my brother from another mother. All the memories from IFA came rushing in...
For to live is Christ and to die is Gain! My dear sweet brother has gained eternal life! Ohhh how you will be missed. Love, Comfort and Prayers Family

Pastors Lesia and Dominique, you guys have my deepest Condolences.

I met Rickey in 2000, when you guys were having service at Camelot College.

I was there when Higher Ground transition to the Choctaw Location.
I Preacher my first official sermon under Bishop Washington on a Wednesday night in August of 2001, Pastor Washington called me into his office after the service that night and said how proud he was of me and where did I find all those people from about 150 came out to support me on a Wednesday night. I told him that they family and friends.

Rickey Washington was a very Classy and Dignified man, and a man that believes in Excellence all the time. He dressed for success.

Pastor Washington, loved Dr. Lesia and his family very much.

I will cherish the moments with Pastor Washington, driving him along with Rance Allen, Marvin Sapp and many more Artists, around the state, that he brought to Baton Rouge.
I was saddened when I heard of Pastor Washington passing, one thing that I know, is that Higher Ground ministry is in good hands with Pastor's Lesia and Dominique and the rest of the Washington family.

Rickey will be remembered for his passionate preaching and teaching.
