Ms. Dora, Nita, & all of Dr. Derry's family.... I was so very saddened to hear of the passing of this wonderful, sweet, loving, caring man.... As most of his immediate family know, I worked for Dr. Derry at Kentwood Veterinary Clinic from 1986-1990, when he & Ms. Dora moved to College Station, TX to pursue more of his dream in veterinary medicine....I missed him so much when he left.... Dr. Derry was a very unique person that was a Christian, always witnessing to people about our Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ....Dr. Derry was so gifted with his intelligence , not only in his profession, but in every aspect of life that came along.....I remember when the new computer programs first came out back all those years ago....Dr. Derry was right on top of it, trying to keep the clinic up to date...these were the days that are funny now cause it was him trying to teach me (DOS, Lol !),we learned it together, Dr. Derry never lost his patience with me at all & we had a lot of laughs about that computer program....I'm sure everyone has their special times to tell also, & this is only one of mine, I have several...Thru the years of working there, I became very fond & close to Dr. Derry & Ms. Dora....they became(to me), my family in my heart....When they would come back for visits home , Ms. Dora would always prepare a home cooked lunch & invite me out so we could catch up on our lives...& I did always stay a little longer than my regular lunch hour, but my other Veterinarians there, Dr. Keller & Dr. Trappey were so understanding to allow me to stay longer .... Ms. Dora, I love you from the bottom of my heart always, & I pray God will give you peace right now , as well as Nita, all the grandchildren & great grandchildren....Knowing he is not in any more pain is a comfort at this time, but it's our nature to miss him ...We can only look forward to the day when our time on this earth is over that we will see him again....Dr. Derry will forever live on in my heart as a part of my family....I loved him dearly as I do you Ms. Dora....Just missing the sound of his voice, his hugs, his everything.... May God bless all of you today, as we say our good-byes to his physical being, knowing he is in heaven now is a great comfort....
Hugs & Prayers Always, Lesia H. Dean Jenkins

I shall never forget the impact Dr. Magee and Miss Dora made on my life. Dr. Magee was a big man - tall and strong. But, he was a SPIRITUAL GIANT and greatly influenced my life and walk with the Lord as a young deacon at FBC in Kentwood. I will forever be greatful for his ministry at FBC Kentwood, for his love of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and for the many ways he reached out to people to help them, encourage them, and to just help them have a better day. My thoughts and prayers are with Miss Dora and the rest of the family.
