Elmo Watts Obituary

Watts, Elmo C. "Sweet" A retired employee of the Exxon Chemical Refinery, he died at 1:21 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 91 and a native of Lincoln County, Miss. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7. Visiting in the funeral home chapel from 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, conducted by Elder David Cothren and Elder David Burris. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Leona T. Watts; a daughter, Joyce W. McDaniel; a daughter-in-law, Nancy C. Watts; a sister, Nell Miller; six grandchildren, Mark McDaniel, Cindy Russell, Layne McDaniel, David Brent Watts, Kathy Watts and Charmagne Fenn; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Russell B. Watts. Pallbearers will be Mark McDaniel, Layne McDaniel, David Brent Watts, Jeffrey McDaniel, Jason McDaniel and Shane Burris. Honorary pallbearers are Elmer Tarver, Ernest Watts, Dr. Andrew T. Zaruski and Eric Watts. He was a charter member and a deacon of Bethel Primitive Baptst Church.
