Fay Huguet

Fay Wright Huguet, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Chateau D'Ville Rehab and Retirement at the age of 89. She was a native of Morganza, longtime resident of Baton Rouge and current resident of Bayou Pigeon. Fay was a homemaker who filled her home with love and had a great devotion to Mary. Visitation will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine on Monday, January 2, 2023, 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m., celebrated by Rev. Al Davidson. Burial will follow in Grace Memorial Park. Fay is survived by four children, Jenny Huguet Frioux and husband Riley, Ruby Huguet Daigle and husband Craig, all of Bayou Pigeon, Mike Huguet and wife Tracy of Plaquemine, Cindy Huguet Cruse and husband Ray of Amite; son-in-law, Mickey Watson of Jarreau; daughter-in-law, Beulah Sedotal Huguet of Pierre Part; sister, Lily May Wright Fairchild of St. Gabriel; brother, Louis Lee Wright Sr of St Amant; and Margie Huguet; 15 grandchildren and spouses, Krystal and Stacy Gravios, Nolan Huguet, Nicole and Mike LeBlanc, Donny and Maria Berthelot, Duane and Candice Wallace, Rusty and Maggi Frioux, Robby and Morgan Frioux, Laura Frioux, Craig and Dixie Daigle, Erin Daigle, Mike Jr and Rose Huguet, Kerry and Delaney Huguet, Joanne and Jake Legendre, Jacob Cruse and Tiffany, and Matthew Cruse; numerous great-grandchildren. Fay was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ronald "Ronnie" Joseph Huguet Sr; parents, Roy Sr and Lily Becnel Wright; son, Ronald "Ronnie" Joseph Huguet Jr; daughter, Diane Huguet Watson; brother, Roy Joseph Wright Jr; two grandsons, Christopher Cruse and Ron Paul Wallace; great-grandson, Noah James Daigle; in-laws, Buck Fairchild, Barbara Wright, James and Jeanine Laster. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. Fay's family would like to thank all of the staff and residents at Chateau D'Ville Rehab and Retirement and Dr. Safford for their wonderful compassionate care, kindness and patience. We also would like to thank all the staff at Comfort Care Hospice, especially her beloved nurse, John Barbee. Not only was John her nurse, she loved him dearly and looked at him like a son.
