Frank Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON, FRANK B. "PETER" Pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church, he died at 11:18 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2005, at his home in Zachary. He was a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Carney-Mackey Funeral Home, 1576 Robin St., from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 8. Religious service at Gethsemane Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Charlie Green. He is survived by his wife, Janester K. Anderson; three daughters, Myrties Anderson of Zachary, and Lersonna Robins and Frankie Smith, both of Baton Rouge; two sons, Frank B. Anderson Jr. of Baker and Kedro Anderson of Baton Rouge; sister, Lula Williams of Baton Rouge; brother, Rivers D. "Jack" Anderson of Baton Rouge; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrties H. Anderson; father, the Rev. James H. Anderson; a brother, James T. Anderson; and a daughter, Lisa D. Anderson. Pallbearers will be James Anderson Jr., Alfred Anderson, Rod Williams, Marvin Knighton, Kendall Knighton and Alex Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Anderson Jr., Rivers Anderson, Tilton Williams, Emanuel Escourt, Freddie Thomas and Matthew Anderson. He was one of the founders of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
