Isaac Curtis Obituary

CURTIS IV, ISAAC EDWARD "IKE" A retired educator and resident of Baton Rouge, he died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 84 and a native of New Orleans. He was a U.S. armed forces veteran. Visiting at Jordan United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. Saturday until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by Dr. George C. Calvin. Interment in Hope Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Katherine Mills-Curtis; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Michael Moore, Darlene and Larry Fernandez and Celestine and Jimmy Hughes; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Isaac E. Curtis III and Viola Curtis; a sister, Celestine Graves; a son, Isaac E. Curtis V; and former wife, Alice Curtis. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Jordan United Methodist Scholarship Fund. Winnfield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
