My heart aches for Mary Ellen and the family he left behind. I've known James for 30 years working at first with him in New Orleans at the Bud operation. As so many have said he was a great inspiration as he never raised a voice in anger and always had a quiet calm regardless of the obstacles he faced. We recently reconnected through our beer relationship and he was still the same. Godspeed James as you are now in the loving arms of our Lord.

To the Gowens family and friends,
We offer our most heartfelt condolences from the McMahon family and Belle Point Beverages, Inc. in Fort Smith, AR and Poteau, OK.
James helped us so much through the years, sharing his knowledge and patience with us. He was always available and willing to take time to share information and proper procedures that would help us get the best results.
We are glad we got to say hello to him last week. We feel sadness for ourselves, and even more for your family. We are thankful James passed through our lives!

I met James when I started working at the New Orelans WOD a long time ago. Over the years when I would run into James, he was always kind and would always ask how you were doing. One of the nicest people I ever met during my 27 years in the beer busines. A great Bud Man. Take care James, you will be missed.
