James Clinton "Clint" Webb obituary

James Webb Obituary

Our sweet daddy, loving husband, and adoring Paw-Paw, James Clinton "Clint" Webb, earned his angel wings at 1:23 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018. We surrounded him with our love and blessing, as he took his last breath. He battled cancer over the last year, which he fought bravely and with courage. Although our hearts are broken, we know he is now free from his pain and suffering, and he can peacefully rest. Clint was born on October 29, 1951, to the late Jesse Lynn Webb Jr. and the late Mary Jones Webb. He married his soulmate, Annie Laura Causey Webb, on October 18, 1971. In the 46 years they have been married, they have only been apart a handful of nights. This bond is a testament to their love and dedication to one another, and not even death can break that bond. Their love created a beautiful daughter, Mary Charnel, and two sons, Jason Clinton and James Chadwick. He adored and loved his children beyond what words can adequately describe. That love continued to grow as he became a Paw-Paw to his grandbabies, Annabelle Grace, Avalee Londyn, Tyler Webb, and Kyzar Anthony. Clint was not in any way associated with the medical field, yet he was rarely, if ever, seen without his scrub shirt. He could've earned an honorary doctorate degree and made even the most world-renowned surgeons envy his collection of scrubs! Clint was preceded in death by his father, Mayor-President Jesse Lynn Webb Jr.; mother, Mayor President Mary Jones Webb; and brother Jesse Lynn Webb III. He is survived by his two sisters, Cathy Forest and Charlotte Read. He is now watching over, from his heavenly home, his loving wife, Annie Laura Causey Webb; his daughter, Mary Charnel Webb Smith and her husband Thomas "Tony" Smith; and his sons Jason "Twinkie" Clinton Webb and his wife Heather Hurst Webb, and James "Chad" Chadwick Webb. He is the special guardian angel to his precious and adored grandbabies, Annabelle Grace Webb, Avalee Londyn Webb, Tyler Webb Smith, and Kyzar Anthony Smith and Kaleigh Smith. Our family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Brooks and his nurse, Theresa, at Ochsner and Dr. Zatarain at Mary Bird Perkins. A VERY special thank you to St. Joseph Hospice and Clint's amazing nurse, Kendra Verner, who helped us tremendously during Clint's sickness. A private inurnment service was held for the immediate family. A ceremony to celebrate and remember Clint's life will be held at a later date. "A family is a circle of love, not broken by a loss, but made stronger by the memories. We are forever blessed that God chose you for us."

Clint's Family & Friends: If every thought we had of you was a shining star, the night would be as bright as day. Wish you were still here so when someone said "Remember when...," we could see your smile and hear your laugh. Thanks for the memories.

Annie and Charnel, this news caught me completely by surprise. I had no idea Clint, and all of you, were battling this. That man and his scrubs made me laugh daily when we worked together! It was just about 8-10 months ago that he messaged me a video showing how to get a ring off your finger using fishing twine. That was his way of letting me know he remembered me getting a ring stuck on my finger when we worked at Dugan and I had to get it cut off! He loved his Annie and his children! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you! He will be missed.

in loving memory of my Uncle Clint. You were such a hoot to be around in my younger years. It had been quite sometime since seeing you, but this past April seeing you and "The C Webbs" was so great! Your heart will forever shine on me.

Love,

Shannon(niece)
